Couple of things observed :
1. The cutting blades is of plastic which is surprising, don’t know what is the life of plastic blades.
2. The way clippers or attachment combs fit in to the trimmer is very bad and will loos its grip soon their after its not of use.
3. Motor noise a lot

I have been using a Philips HC5450/15 hair clipper since June 2015 and i think I’ll be able to use it for many more years to come…it’s 2020 and i bought this new Syska hair clipper only because my old Philips battery has become weak and can only use with wire connected to plug-point…so comparing it to Philips Hair Clipper this Syska clipper seems inferior in quality (both purchased @amazon.in: Philips ₹2,300 then and Syska ₹2,699 now)
1. Syska clipper is paired with a steel and plastic/ceramic blade…..whereas the Philips blade is made of steel and titanium
2. Syska is more of a beard trimmer than a Hair clipper as the largest comb is only 10-12 mm so only navy-haircut possible, there are three more combs but all so thin 3mm to 9mm that I have no use for it (had they included a 15mm comb this product would have been perfect)…..where as Philips has a very well designed single comb and its height can be adjusted with a knob from 0.5mm to 23mm
To sum it up it is very easy to trim own hair using this Syska hair clipper by yourself or to give your son a primary school type haircut (use largest comb 10-12mm and set knob to 2.5 and run the clipper) ..however I repeat: purchase this only if you want very short navy-haircut..BTW thanks Amazon, courier was very well packaged and delivered in brand-new sealed original box.
