Khichdi is supposed to taste like home and that’s what Organic roots Jain Khichdi tasted and reminded me of.
It was subtle and comforting to the palate.
Pros:
– well seasoned, good taste
– fair quantity, quite fulfilling for one serving
Cons:
– packaging could be slightly better, considering that they have given space for water to be added into the same box..but the box has got all crumpled up during shipping..so if sturdier options are given, i think it will withstand hot water being added for sometime
– slightly expensive

The masala teast really good, but it will take min 5-8 mins to ready and the flavor will be in mouth for sometime, it will be a better choice for the last min packers and bachelor go to read make meal as a healthy choice

You usually think if something doesn’t have onion or garlic, it would be tasteless. Well that’s not the case with Oragnic Roots Jain Khichdi. It’s tasty, has a mix of Indian masalas that give it a mild spicy kick (but isn’t extremely spicy). The consistency can be adjusted as per your choice. Mix of rice and dal is nice.
What doesn’t work for me: it seems very expensive for the quantity, the box isn’t sturdy (very flimsy to hold) and the potatoes are not fresh/tasty.

The khichdi tastes very subtle and flavourful . A perfect treat for people looking for simple home like food with no onion and garlic. Easy to carry for travel , easy to prepare and easy on stomach too. Very well seasoned and quantity is well enough for one person.
