This is a great Trimmer. However, it does not include the USB charger. Read the required amps in the owners guide and make sure you have a phone charger that will work. If you use a different output, the trimmer will not respond.

This is a retail-boxed Hatteker brand SK-1810 clipper.

Although this clipper looks a lot like other clippers sold on Amazon for general purpose cutting of the hair on your head, this one is different because it’s waterproof. As a result, you can use it in the shower, and it is well-suited for bodyscaping and other hair removal on your body/neck/etc.

Basic clipper technology is pretty low-tech, and I have been pleasantly surprised to discover that just about all hair clippers sold these days–even by non-name brands–do a pretty good job: They clip fine, and they feature lithium-ion batteries that last a really long time. This clipper is no exception.

This is pretty much what you’ll need.

Clipper operation is trivial: There’s an on/off button on the handle. That’s it. There is no readout of charge level: No LCD screen, no segmented lights. That’s too bad–most have that.

The clippers are about average in size, and feel fine in the hand.

I found that the clippers cut hair fine, and were able to cut pretty close to the skin line. If you want absolutely smooth, you’d have to run over the same skin area with a shaver. But these will leave you looking clean-shaven. The functionality is close to a T-Blade clipper, but with a fully enclosed body around the rotation axis, which means both that it’s waterproof, and that you don’t need to worry about accidentally getting body hair twisted in the exposed rotating spindle.

The stand is a cheap piece of molded plastic, and it’s not weighted, so it can topple over. It also isn’t a charging stand. Honestly, I won’t be using it, and I imagine most people will just throw it in a drawer.

There’s no mechanical or electronic lockout mechanism, so these are not necessarily great for travel.

On the whole, they get the job done and they are waterproof. I don’t find the integrated light to be of much value, but it’s not a negative. These clippers are priced only slightly higher than similar clippers that are not rated to be waterproof. If you have any interest in using clippers in the shower, that’s an easy choice. It’s also nice that these feature an upgraded ceramic blade.
