Mustard oil quality is good

I also started using mustard oil for cooking after all the celebs and nutritionists went crazy about its health benefits. TBH the pungency and strong flavour were very hard to get used to. So one day I went to my bhua’s place and she prepared “Methi k parathe” and told me she used mustard oil, but It didn’t taste like that, so I asked her how it didn’t have that pungent taste and smell. I was almost convinced that she had bought some fake oil. Then she told me about this yellow mustard oil from anveshan. So in short, It has all the benefits of mustard oil, just without pungency. So I bought it. To my surprise, the oil actually has very less pungency and does not hurt my eyes or nose. It also gets absorbed less in the food, making my food and my stomach feel light after each meal. And above all, the oil lasts longer since less quantity is required to cook the same amount of food. Packaging was good as well.

Just received the delivery of yellow mustard oil and Sunflower oil. Have not used the product so will write the review for it later. Looks like Anveshan is not serious with their cause the way they claim in words and seem to have have settled down to procrastination may be due to easy profits coming in with these price points. As you all can see I have just opened the seal of both the bottles. The packaging is not atall sturdy. The loop we suppose to pull to break the seal itself is so delicate and flimsy, that with the slightest pull it just came off rather teared off from the seal like a paper. Nothing new about these types of seals as all the products have similar mechanism but are sturdy. How come Anveshan does not know about this basic thing that the loop has to have some sturdiness to be able to bear the pressure when being pulled to break the seal. This is called being Non Functional at the first step. As a result I had to use a knife. Thought will give the seal slight push and then just pull it out gently but the seal is also so weak that with just a little pressure went straight inside and settled at the base of the bottle. Also you all can see the bottle is dented at the base and here I went for the most expensive oils and this is what we get. What do I do now. How to to take that black plastic seal out of the bottle. Not happy. Let me see if the product is even half percent of what they write big big stories or is another big gimmick.

 I ordered two bottles. The best thing I liked with this product,apart from its culinary properties is that it is packed in a glass bottle, protected with styrofoam cover for each bottle which are again packaged in a large box. It was very sturdy and delivered without any scratch.
When you cook something in it you get the benefit of mustard oil and for a first time user it will be very difficult to differentiate the taste of something cooked in it from that of desi ghi. Of course its scent is unlike desi ghi but the taste matches or sometimes feels better than ghee. Of course it is lighter than ghee; better flavoured than the black mustard oil and does not have pungency. It is free of cholesterol and you can enjoy taste of excellently prepared wood pressed oil with good health benefits packed in a glass bottle.
