I have Patellar Tendonitis and sciatica. My knees buckle slightly and there is some pain. So I was looking for a brace to give more stability to my knee, as I am unsure of my balance these days.
I tried many types of braces – from a patellar strap, to a brace with two velcro straps and a hinge, even an immobilizer brace and another sock-type brace similar to this but with a hole in knee area.
Guess which one gave the best support – THIS ONE! I wore both one on top of the other on my right knee and my knee became more stable. I’m tempted to order two more already!!
PS: Been using for two weeks now. I ordered one pair medium and one pair large. I wear the medium pair underneath and the large one on top of the medium brace, for some extra stability.
If you use for over 2.5 hours, take it off for some time and allow the circulation to be restored in your legs. Then you can resume your walk. It works by partially immobilizing your knee. So you are forced to use your hips. If you have weak hips it will improve the muscle balance.
