Most of the nuts seems to lost its freshness and so it has lost its shape and I used to soak it and have. Once soaked normally it gets bulged but most of the nuts lost its shape. It may be because of old stock or they purposely segregate substandard nuts or not .

The almonds are smaller n lacks the attributes of good quality. I soaked it overnight, as usual. But, it got softened subtle like sponge.
