I had been using pad and it was always messy and irritating. Tried switching to menstrual cup directly but didn’t work for me. Then I decided to start with tampons and once comfortable I could later switch to cups. After reading lots of Reviews I chose this one and I loved how easy and comfortable it felt. I recommend this to everyone but specially to first timers. I don’t have heavy flow so absorbency is not an issue for me.

It’s a good product, a great alternative for menstrual protection and much more comfortable than sanitary pads(once you get the hang of using it). If you are using it for the first time, it will take you a couple of tries to understand how to use it; not to mention it will be a bit uncomfortable – mild painful in inserting it first few times, but after using it few times, you won’t want to go back to using sanitary pads again.
    Pros:-
    1. Less messy than sanitary pads – There is little to no chance of leakage, unless you leave it in for a long time. It’s not meant to be used for more than 8 hours if you are having regular flow, not heavy.
    2. Very comfortable – Sanitary pads sometimes cause rashes. This does not happen in tampons. Also you can hardly feel the tampon once it’s inside your body, provided it is inserted properly. If you feel uncomfortable during sitting, it means the tampon hasn’t been inserted far enough and you need to push it further in. Best way to check if it’s okay or not, is to bend and touch your toes after inserting it, if you can’t feel it at all, then it’s in the right place.
    3. Same cost as sanitary pads (depends on brand) – If you are like most girls, you must be using Stayfree sanitary pads. OB Tampons are a bit higher priced than Stayfree pads, but it comes to the same, because tampons shorten the period by 1 day, so you end up using it for lesser amount of time.

    Cons:-
    1. Cannot wear more than 8 hours – A tampon shouldn’t be worn for more than 8 hours due to the risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome. The chances of it causing TSS is still less, even if you leave it in for more than 8 hours, but it’s probably not a good idea to do so, since the risk of vaginal infections is always there. You can leave it in overnight, provided you don’t sleep for more than 8 hours.
    2. Uncomfortable in the beginning – For me, it was quite painful the first 2-3 times I used it, and I assume it will be so for all girls who are using it for the first time. Also, it is slightly painful to remove it if your flow is very light and the tampon isn’t soaked enough.
    3. The whole string system is a bit risky – I have always been paranoid about one thing. What if the string breaks? How will I get it out? Of course, a tampon can’t exactly get lost in the body, since it simply won’t go up after a certain distance, and the opening of the cervix is too small. But still it would be a panic-causing predicament if the string breaks.

Despite all it’s cons, I still think for me, it wins over sanitary pads.

I have used the OB tampons for the first time..TBH I was so so so afraid at first..I hv done lots of research before buying this product..there was only one brand sofy available with applicator but I wanted to buy OB..I was literally so scared..
So yes any woman can use tampon there’s a misconception that only married women can use it…
Here are some pros and cons :-

    Pros:
1)I must say it’s really very comfortable
2)U can’t feel it inside you (coz there’s no nerves ending)
3)U can easily go for gymming, swimming nd for a party
    4)No more sweat and itching
    5)No more diapers🙈
6)I feel lil uncomfortable wearing pads specially in summers hence its a must have product for me
    7) available in two varieties super for heavy flow and regular for average flow
    8) no bad odour
    9) i don’t know if I should mentioned this but i really feel less abdominal nd back pain, I really don’t know if it’s because of this
    10) it minimise ur period days

    Cons:
    1) i felt slight pain while inserting it.
    2) Also taking out tampon is quite a task (for the first timers)
    3) you need to keep changing it between 2-4 hours (depends on ur flow)

    Here are some points:
1)Plz don’t worry it won’t get lost inside u, there’s no place for it.
2)Married nd unmarried women both can use this
3)Wash ur hands before inserting and after removing ur tampon
4)U don’t need to remove it while peeing, just put the string behind
    5) plz don’t worry the string won’t break
    6) it will get double in size after soaking blood, so no worries
    7) I’d suggest to buy regular flow for the first timers
    6) plz don’t keep tampons inside u for more than 5-7 hours
    7) u can also use panty liners with them if u r worried about leakage

Also I’d suggest u to read some information about TSS (toxic shock syndromes) I really don’t wanna talk about it because I am not a professional doctor, it’s a rare but dangerous disease, some people relate this disease with tampons but further studies has proved that this is not the case, so please consult your physician before using this if u have faced any veginal infection in past..

That’s all about it..I’d highly recommend it..first timers can also buy tampons with applicator but I didn’t face any issue..please please please read some information nd see some videos before buying it..All the information mentioned in the product box, so don’t worry girls nd do try this..
