I’ve enjoyed the Lay’s Gourmet chips purchased in Spain (huevos trufado; corte fino) so I thought I would try these, which also show off Spanish flavors. I’m sorry to report that having purchased them on two separate occasions, they don’t taste anything like either cheese or pimenton, but they have a strange chemical flavor that’s sort of like cleaning products. The flavor intensifies after eating several chips.
After ordering the first time I assumed this was a defect from the production batch so I gave them another try, but those had the same terrible flavor. It’s really disappointing because the Lay’s Gourmet product line sold in Spain was outstanding. I do note the vintage cheese/pimenton product is manufactured in India, not Spain, which I did not know when I ordered them. I wonder if some accidental mixture of flavorings from other chips created this terrible combination.
In any case, I can’t recommend these and if you’re a Spanish food enthusiast, try elsewhere. The Torres and El Valle are outstanding.

I recently returned from a trip overseas and really wanted some paprika flavored chips. I saw these and thought why not. They have a good crunch but the flavor is not as I expected. It is definitely more cheesy and it is spicy, at least to me. I could eat them, but only in moderation. I was pleasantly surprised by the additional bag of lime and cracked pepper chips that was also included in my box. I preferred that flavor better actually.

Chomoing on it right now. It has the Chilé Limon vibes with exxtra crispiness. Go for it if you’re fond of tanginess and lemon zest on chips. Made for me.

I personally love this flavor from the gourmet series of lays. It feels very very fresh, very very cruncy and loaded with flavors. totally do justice with my cravings for snacking. The person who could not handle much spiceness can also give a shot to this flavour in particular as they might fall in love with the spicy tangy flavour of chillies.
