Farmacy 1% Vitamin A Retinol Serum, 30ml

I chose this product based on its reviews. I noticed a difference in my skin’s appearance within a week. I only use it nightly. I did not experience any peeling or redness, just smooth, younger looking skin. I love it so much I bought a 2nd bottle to be sure I don’t run out. It has a slightly oily feel at first but you only use it at bed time and it does not have much of a fragrance. I love this one and highly recommend.

Farmacy’s 1% Vitamin A Retinol Serum is potent. 1% retinol is basically the highest amount of over the counter retinol readily available. This particular product has 2 different retinoids – Retinol, which works overnight to firm skin and and targets fine lines and wrinkles, and fast acting Retinal, which promotes cell turnover that evens skin tone and texture.

The serum also uses some other interesting ingredients including oils made from discarded seeds showing Farmacy’s commitment to the environment. Upcycled kalahari melon seed oil and upcycled raspberry seed oil are rich in antioxidants and they help sooth and hydrate the skin. The serum also contains Ceramide NP to help boost moisture and protects the skin barrier.

When using this product it’s best to start slow until you can see how your skin will react. Consistent use is also key. I have been using it 2 nights a week for about a month. Initially I experienced some dryness and flaking, but my complexion is starting to look a lot more glowy. I can tell that this product is really resurfacing my skin and I’m almost ready to start using it 3 nights a week.

The serum dispenses from a pump. It’s lightweight, creamy, and absorbs well. It doesn’t have a strong fragrance. The product is free of parabens, phthalates, and synthetic fragrances. Heard good things about farmacy so ordered retinol serum. But after having received it. Ugggh!! Buy from sephora it smells like bad chicken grease. Us. It’s rancid.
