The matcha which is supposed to be a fresh bright green is actually a dull dark green. The flavour is very dull and the container is not air tight so the matcha oxidises further and looses more freshness. And the matcha itself is full of lumps and not in the fine powdery form that it’s supposed to be in.

I was looking for this quality of matcha for a while now. After coming back from Vancouver I tested out brands like Tincha, Heapwell and what not and their matcha powder all would turn a muddy green colour. This one is actually a bright green and has the flavour of that I had in Vancouver. Plus its value for money

I was disappointed and had given up on finding good matcha after trying few different brands in india but than i came across Chymes ceremonial matcha and its is best and closest to a very good matcha tea i have had in india. Colour is perfect green , fragrance is bang on and taste is so good. 🙂 i love the packaging it is so perfect keeps the matcha fresh after opening. (If you want to have matcha tea please have only ceremonial grade or imperial grade. culinary grade only for baking and desserts. thank you chymey for bringing us this good matcha tea excited to try the imperial matcha

I have tried almost all indian brands of matcha. All of them have photoshopped pictures showing fake bright green colour but this one actually lived up to it. All the other brands give a muddy colour after whisking but this one looked fresh leafy green. The taste was also very fresh and it has a slightly sweet aroma like sugarcane. It is the only matcha in india that i have found closest to japanese one. Packaging is also nice. It is canned to maintain freshness.

I’ve recently ordered for Chymey Green Tea for myself and I was quite happy with the product. Packed in a small tin and was safely delivered to me. The most important thing is that this tea contains no added colors and flavours. It is purely authentic japanese matcha green powder and has a rich flavour in itself. Quite healthy and at the same time gives you a nice taste when you take a sip of this tea. Worth the buy ❤️

Okay so don’t get me wrong, the packaging is actually really cute, the tin container is sturdy too but the thing is that whenever you open it some of the matcha powder always fall and because it’s not in a pouch or anything just the tin box, i can’t really do anything to prevent it falling everywhere.
The quantity too was almost half the container and if it keeps falling, i think it will finish before i even fully enjoy it.. TOT
Otherwise the colour is a vibrant green, the smell was good too( didn’t smell like henna at all🤡 unlike the tencha culinary one- which i get it – it was second harvest and my first time trying so don’t know if the culinary grade should smell like that and was really bitter to be honest xo).
Coming to taste, it was so much better<333 i made iced matcha latte and i really liked it a lot!
To conclude i would recommend this for the matcha but the brand should think some alternative to make packaging bit more practical..
