Good buy at discounted price. When cooked properly its perfect for biryani.

The BEST Basmati. All other brands tried like Dawat IndiaGate in the price brackets of Rs.400/- to Rs550/- per 5kg, BUT NONE ISas Great as Kohinoor Super Select !!! Sadly availability on Amazon is really a matter of luck ☹️. For many months like 6+ it can go missing completely from Amazon OR is available with a delivery charge comparable to its price which is prohibitive, so no use.

The 5 Kg. The bag was packed in a Larger loose-fitting carton. During the Handling en route the carton was partially ripped open on two sides. Luckily the Rice bag was not Torn, Such heavy cargo needs tight fitting Cartons.

As usual got the consignment in time, Consuming this rice for quite some time now… Quality of rice is good,clean, slim, long grain ( mostly full grain , 90% and above)… In our family , we generally use it for everyday cooking, but it can be used for fancy cooking as well, if he/she doesn’t considers it’s low fragrance as an issue for that purpose… That way , if you consider it for everyday cooking, you may feel it a little bit costlier, whereas , if you consider it for fancy cooking, considering other brands, it will be a cheaper option…

It is no more the same kind of rice I used to buy earlier. Takes longer to cook, no smell of basmati rice as it cooks and grains are not a long as they earlier were.
