I am no expert. But this ghee felt tasteless and no asli waala smell. Nothing!!!
    I don’t know what to think…
But my maid is pretty confident that this is no good 😶

I an giving this a one star review because I strong suspect the ghee I ordered and received is adulterated. At 23deg C this ghee doesn’t thicken and is like thin pouring consistency- like one expects of oil. I compared the consistency with another A2 brand I use called Praakritik and there is big difference in consistency. I wish I could have uploaded videos here to show people this. While the smell and flavor are good enough I don’t believe this ghee is pure and as such I cannot recommend it given the price. The other raving reviews against it are very misleading. Purchase at own risk.

[update as of Jan 19, 2020]

I am editing this review now because I have since changed my mind about this product. Over the last couple of days, the consistency of this ghee has become thicker and more settled and it is no longer as runny as it was on the day that it arrived. Since I am now happy with its texture – plus the overall packaging, information provided, colour and taste are pretty good – I am now changing the rating to a 5 and a ‘will recommend to other buyers’

The founders at Team Anveshan, were prompt to get in touch to address my concerns on reading my initial review and even offered to set it right by offering a replacement jar for my peace of mind. However, I opted to stick with the jar I received because by now it looked and tasted pretty fine to me. For a start up company working to empower Indian farmers and bring fresh farm products to homes, they do believe in a high level of customer service. I am impressed with their ability to answer questions with no problems and share knowledge – an obvious reflection of their commitment and passion towards their product.

For other buyers reading this review and initially finding themselves with the same concerns I did – perhaps you might find it helpful to know that the melting and crystallization of fats can get affected by weather and temperature conditions during transit and that while this may have some apparent, but temporary, impact on the texture/consistency of ghee bought over the internet (especially if you end up comparing it against the smooth and homogeneous texture of store bought ghee), it doesn’t affect the quality, taste, shelf life or genuineness of the ghee which arrives in a sealed jar. At my request, the Anveshan team even shared home testing solutions but assured me that they run every batch through stringent quality testing before it reaches customers.

So recommending this ghee to anyone looking for something that is not subpar and trustworthy.Go buy and enjoy!

The media could not be loaded.

I wonder why Amazon has no due diligence or quality control in place to ensure that customers are not scammed on their site.

Just got delivered at my home, and this is what I found (see video) –
    No seal in place –
    – Outer seal is just a piece of broken plastic that someone put around the mouth of the bottle, wishing it would stay.
    – Inside seal was not just a layer put on top without sealing and sticking to the edges.
    – Came totally leaking. The cardboard box is soaked in the substance.

There is no reason for me to believe that the leftover substance is ghee, as it doesn’t even look or smell as such.

There is no return policy to get my money back.
I regret falling for these scammers.

People trust me – DO NOT BUY IT!!!!!!

Absolutely white fat grains getting isolated from yellow ones means it is not pure.

Anweshan ghee is no doubt a good product and I was extremely happy with the flavour even though it’s very expensive. But now the price they have put on is ridiculous. The 250 ml ghee which was Rs 599 a few days back is now a mindboggling Rs 698!! And the 500 ml ghee is Rs 1298 from Rs 999. I get it that there’s inflation right now but hiking prices like this is simply “lootbazaari”. It’s out of reach even for upper middle class folks. Without any price regulation from government, sellers are pricing products however they feel like.

Great. Its a very ambitious effort towards saving the native A2 cow breeds of country. The taste, aroma and all qualities are really original like how it is in villages.

The product was reasonably good though it did not taste as good as the ghee made at home using the same method. After refrigerating, the product loses much of its aroma and taste.
