This product was purchased at a ‘Haldirams’ outlet.
Manufactured by the popular food chain ‘Haldirams’, it contains ‘Mathri’, a tea-time snack food item, primarily composed of refined wheat flour or ‘Maida’ (64%).
The ‘Mathri’ has been accurately depicted on the package.
The pack also contains ‘Mix Veg Pickle’, for consumption with the ‘Mathri’.
The ‘Mathri’ has a ‘soft crunch’ to it, which is pleasing. It has a noticeable, not overwhelming presence of fenugreek leaves (‘Methi’). The fenugreek leaves utilised are not dried ones (‘Kasoori Methi’).
The ‘Mathri’ also has sporadic presence of black peppercorns, which lend a flavourful ‘punch’ to the ‘Mathri’ when tasted.
The ‘Mathri’ can be enjoyed by people with low-to-high spice tolerance.
The ‘Pickle’ provided for does not have whole spices, which tend to be off-putting to some people. The pickled vegetables dominant are carrot and mango.
The ‘Pickle’ pairs well with the ‘Mathri’, and can also be utilised when consuming ‘Khichdi’. It shall be enjoyed by people with a moderate-to-high spice tolerance.
The ‘Mathri’ can also be paired with ‘Masala Chai’.
Since the product mainly contains ‘Maida’ and ‘Palmolein Oil’ among other ingredients, it should ideally be consumed only occasionally.
Overall, in terms of flavour, this product is worth trying out.
