This product from brand ‘Haldirams’ contains ‘Chakli’: a popular ‘spiral’-shaped snack food item having originated in Maharashtra and South India (another variant is known as ‘Murukku’) and now popular for consumption at tea-time all across India. It has been accurately illustrated on the package.
The ‘Chakli’ is composed of rice flour, black lentil flour, and chick peas pulse flour: flavoured with spices. It is crunchy and serves as a perfect accompaniment to a cup of hot tea and/or coffee beverage.
The spice content provides for a pleasant heat and warmth to the tongue. The dominant flavour is that of black pepper powder. It can be enjoyed by people with a moderate to high spice tolerance.
The ‘Chakli’ is high in calories, and one is advised to exercise portion control.
Overall, this product is worth the purchase.

Good quality & Taste !

The snack looks like it would be somewhat sweet from the picture. Instead it has a dry herby and earthy base taste with a bit of spice on the back end.
The bag was about 1/3 crumbled but it didn’t really matter since i used it was a salad topping. Its decent snack but i just wasn’t in love with it.
